Welcome to the web diary of the New World UMYF's Mission Trip 2001. Our annual mission trip combines the music ministry of the youth choir "Special Effects" and a mission ministry of work projects to provide our youth with varied experiences that help them develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to live each day in the light of this relationship with God.
This year the theme of our youth choir is " Can't Stop Talking", and they bring with them a worship experience of contemporary Christian music and liturgical dancing. The liturgy for this worship service blends old and new testament scripture with some personal testimony that proclaims our God as able. He is able to love us so much that he gave to us His Son.
Each night our youth come together for worship, praise, and study to the theme of "Road Rules".
We will learn to "YIELD" to God,
That Jesus is the "ONE WAY" to salvation,
The Holy Spirit is our "TRAFFIC LIGHT",
God love is our "REST AREA",
Our faith is stretched with "CURVES AHEAD",
Our odedience to the word is the "SPEED LIMIT",
And we finish with a summary night of "EXIT ONLY"
